Rockhill Tennis Club, 4520 Kenwood, Kansas City, MO, in the downstairs "Gold Room."

Native and non-native speakers are always welcome. You can come and leave early or late. To help defray the cost of the room, participants are asked to contribute $1.00. Beverages (coffee, tea, wine, etc.) are served at an additional cost. (Checks or Credit Cards Only - The Rockhill Club no longer accepts cash).  The Alliance Board has designated a member who will be in charge each evening should you have any questions or a problem of any kind.

French Films at the Tivoli

Great news!! The Tivoli in Westport will offer all card holding members of the Alliance Francaise de Kansas City -and one guest - a discount on each French film shown at the Tivoli in the future.  The discount price structure is as follows:  AFKC members will receive the preferred member discount of $5.50 for seniors, children or adult admission for any show prior to 6 p.m.  For shows after 6 p.m. the preferred member cost will be $7.00 for a regular adult admission and $6.50 for seniors and children.  In order to receive this preferred discount, members must show their AFKC card at the Tivoli boxoffice. 

The Tivoli Theater is located in Manor Square, 4050 Pennsylvania, Kansas City, Mo.

Sunday, July 13, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. -  Fête de la Bastille

You are invited to attend our Bastille Day Party on Sunday, July 13, from 1:00 -  5:00 p.m., at Cafe des Amis, 112 Main Street, in Parkville, Missouri.

This year will be another extraordinary event with bountiful French hors-d'oeuvres prepared by the restaurant's gourmet chefs.  Music for listening and dancing will be provided by Ted Horowitz's jazz band.  A cash bar will be available. 

Cost: $7.00 per person for AFKC members and members of the Metz, France Sister City Committee with
membership card.  $15.00 per person for all others.

Ethnic Enrichment Festival - August 15, 16, & 17

The Ethnic Enrichment Festival, sponsored by the Mayor's Ethnic Enrichment Commission of Kansas City, Missouri, will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 15, 16, and 17, at the Band Pavilion in Swope Park. 

Over 40 countries will have booths at the festival, and will be presenting typical food and entertainment from their countries of ethnic origin.

The AFKC will be selling its famous crêpes.
